What does it take for you to change your eating habits.

I heard a guy on the radio this morning talking about McDonalds and their new association with the Heart Foundation, Maccas now have their tick of approval, that's another story.

Back to the guy who rang in, he was really bagging out Maccas and the fat content in their foods etc and the commentator asked him had he ever eaten Maccas/KFC etc and he said he used to eat it all the time when he was on the road until he got really sick and had some serious health issues. It turned out that he was told by his Dr that if he didnt lose some weight he was going to die, he was in the early stages of diabetes, had high blood pressure, high cholesterol amongst other things.

He admitted that until he had the health scare he had not thought that there was a problem with his health, even though he was 40kgs overweight.

Why does it take a visit to the Dr because you are feeling unwell, to make you change your eating habits, dont you know by the fact that you cant walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath, you have trouble getting in and out of your car and the list goes on and on.

Now back to Coll and I, we are both still on track with our diets and training, it is getting tougher each week. You cant take your eye off the ball at any time really with the diet and the training, as Cath M'Gee says, " Eye on the Prize" When I step onto that stage I want to do it knowing that I have absolutely put in 100%, and look the best that I can look. If you go into anything half hearted then expect a half hearted result.

Did my cardio at 4.20am this morning for 40 mins, would love to do an hour, but have to have my eggs before my first client comes in at 5.30am and nothing gets in the way of your food.
