Wow can you believe it, the 1st of March already. I weigh myself every Monday morning and this morning i came in at 90.1kgs, down from 96.7 on the 12th January. I hope to be well under 90 by next Monday and hopefully have the abs showing even more.
I was on the bike by 4.20am this morning, set the Random program for 45 mins on level 10. After a warm up for 2 mins, i sprint flat out for 20 secs of every minute then ease back for 40 seconds. I do this for every minute till the 45 mins is up, its tough but it does the trick. The music makes a big difference to me, I have some heavy metal on, but it's whatever does it for you.
Soon as I'm finished i get the eggs on and coffee too.
On Saturday night we went out for tea for what is known as a 'cheat meal' where we can eat a normal meal, this we do once a week if the body fat is coming down. Coll and I had pizzas at the Red Grapevine restaurant, no crappy Dominoes etc, these pizzas are home made and beautiful. It's amazing what the cheat meal does for your system, all week you eat clean then have a cheat meal and it kickstarts your metabolism. Funny thing is when you know you can have a cheat meal, you have to force yourself to do it, mainly because you think you will undo all your good work.
Have a big back workout this morning which will be tough but cant wait.
Have a great day.

Been a quiet day after the gym, i settled down and read some of my Stephen King book, Under the Dome, I love getting into some science fiction. Thought about doing some extra cardio this afternoon, but i have an hour to do in the morning at 4.15am then a big back workout bit later so gotta rest up a bit.
I have been into fitness and sport for over 30 years, i started throwing the Hammer, Shott and Discus at school and played Rugby, Soccer and also cometed in 100 and 200 metre races. Over the past 9 yrs I have been a personal trainer, after doing nearly 22 yrs in the NSW Police, and I didnt think that I carried alot of body fat, that is until i started training for this bodybuilding comp nearly 12 months ago.
I thought i would be able to get rid of it in a couple of months and see the abs, how wrong was I, here I am 11 weeks away from the comp and they are now only just starting to show through. This would without doubt be the hardest training that I have ever done and am loving the challenge of it all.
Sure there are cravings, everyday, mainly to just eat some crap food. I understand more now about how my clients struggle with their huge weight problems.
What keeps me going? I have made myself accountable right from the start. I got myself a trainer who specialises in bodybuilding and he wants to see progress photos every couple of weeks. I post photos on facebook, so that people can see what I'm doing, and I am not going to let them down now after all the support that they have given me. I am accountable to them and I am accountable to you who read this, if anyone.
Have a great Sunday night and will catch you through the week.

Bucket List
Got to thinking this morning about the movie Bucket List with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. I think its a great idea, but why wait until you are told you are going to die, before you try and do the 10 things on a Bucket List. Make one now and get started on achieving them, nothing to stop you down the track from making an actual Bucket List.
The weight training yesterday was bloody hard, big leg workout, 10 sets squat superset with 10 sets stiff leg deadlifts, then leg extension and leg curl and calves. Can hardly walk this morning but I know the growth will follow and the soreness will fade away.
Hit the gym again this morning and did a big chest workout, 5 x 5 heavy flat d/b bench, followed by Incline D/B Bench 3 drops superset & Incline Flys 3 drop superset, then to finish the chest some Cable Crossovers, more calves and then abs.
Big feed of chicken and vegies.
then home to rest for a while.

Cardio day today
Today is a day off from the weight training, but not a day off from training as such. We train 7 days a week with either weights or cardio or a combination of both.
This morning I was in the gym at 4.15am and did 60 minutes on the stationary bike.
Later today will be doing what's called a GPP workout, which will involve a combination of weights and body weight exercises to burn some more calories and reduce the body fat.
I eat every 3 hours, at the moment its no carbs, which is tough, but if you want to achieve your goals, you just have to do what it takes.
Gotta go, chicken and vegies to devour.:)
